Training in brief
This training teaches your employees to adequately act and rescue in emergency situations using safety lines.
Demonstrably safe work at height
Safe handling of hoisting- and lifting equipment demands the necessary knowledge and skills. With wrong or inexpert use comes a variety of risks. As employer, you are legally required to deploy the right working equipment for the activities in your organisation and make specially trained employees responsible for the selection hereof. Also, you must be able to prove that these employees are verified in their expertise. When it cannot be demonstrated that your employees possess the proper knowledge and skills, you will risk a substantial fine.
Goal of the training
The training ‘Rescuing Work with Safety Lines’ teaches your employees on the basis of theory lessons and practical exercises to act adequately and rescue in emergency situations on and around the scaffold with the use of safety lines. The achieved certificate is your proof of an employee who meets the requirements according to the Scaffolding directive.
Exam for STE-certificate
The training is completed with an exam. Graduated candidates receive a STE-certificate.
This course does not apply special entry requirements. It does, however, specifically focus on candidates who work with rope-systems.
The training consists of theory lessons and practical exercises in rescuing techiques. The following components will be dealt with:
types of safety lines;
choice of safety line;
inspection, use, maintenance and durability of the safety line;
storing of material;
belts, descending system, riser clamps, belt loops, points of anchorage, etc.;
evacuation equipment and matching devices;
Duration of training and exam
1 day, incl. examination.
The training is preferably held at your location, so that the practices are conducted with your own hoisting- and lifting equipment.
This training is only provided at request.
