Training in brief
Who wants to take his first steps into scaffolding will learn all basic skills during this training, in order to work safely as assistant engineer or future scaffolder.
Small causes, great consequences
A railing that is not securely fastened. Taking off the safety helmet for a moment because of the heat. A split second without paying attention… an accident on or around scaffolds can happen anytime. Did you know that every year hundreds of serious accidents happen in the immediate working environment of the scaffolder, of which 10 to 30 are fatal? As a responsible employer or client, you want to prevent accidents no matter the cost. Especially since you may receive a considerable fine when it cannot be proven whether your employees have the appropriate skills.
Why this training?
Secure work at a height begins with employees who understand their profession and know exactly what to do (and not do!) to prevent accidents. The training Assistant Scaffolder / Future Scaffolder will provide your inexperienced employees with all the basic knowledge and skills to work safely and responsibly in the scaffolding business. The achieved (business) certificate of professional competence is your proof of your employees meeting all requirements according to the new scaffolding directive.
Awarded with official certification of professional competence
The training is closed with an official exam of personal certification: the Certification of Professional Competence according to ISO 17024. The exam is taken by IQC, an independent examination agency under supervision of Det Norske Veritas Certification B.V.
Minimum age of 18. Candidates will be tested on their basic level in advance.
Basic level measurement test
Only candidates with a minimum of basic knowledge and skills are allowed to successfully complete the training. The basic level is measured in advance through a self-developed independent level measurement, in cooperation with Eureka Exams.
Candidates under the basic level will get 1 or more days of extra lessons before they start the regular training. On the other hand, candidates can (in theory) start directly with the exam if they have the necessary basic knowledge and skills. We discuss the outcome of the measurement and the possibilities extensively with you and the candidate.
Costs of basic measurement intake level (online training + advice): €140,- excl. VAT.
Costs of complete level measurement (online training + expanded educational advice): €220,- excl. VAT.
During the five-day training, all future assistant engineers and scaffolders will learn all important ‘basic tricks of the business’. The following components are dealt with:
the basic rules and terms used in scaffolding;
explaining and identifying scaffolding materials and parts on drawings;
correctly and safely applying of PBM’s;
ergonomically responsible moving of scaffolding material;
independent sorting of scaffolding material according to type and size;
